Experience the 2027 World Rowing Championships from August 23 to 29 at Rotsee. With two ticket zones, you’re sure to find the spot that’s right for your World Championships experience.
Ticket sales will begin in the fall of 2026. The link to the official ticket shop will be posted here when sales begin.
A ticket is required to use the lakeside path along Rotsee during the World Championships
Unlike at the LUCERNE REGATTA, the path along the shore from the boat storage area to the finish area is in a ticketed zone during the World Rowing Championships. In addition the areas around the rowing center is designated for athletes remain off-limits to spectators.
Zone 1
The affordable option for anyone who wants to experience the race along Lake Rotsee. Zone 1 connects the start, the lakeside path, and the finish area on the Sedel side.
INCLUDED
- Admission to the Start Arena at the Rotsee-Badi in Ebikon
- Access to the lakeside path from the boat storage area to the finish area
- Access to the fan zone at the boat storage area
- Access via the temporary bridge behind the finish line to the covered grandstand on the Sedel side (free seating)
- Unrestricted travel on public transportation within Passepartout Zone 10 (city center) in second class on the day of validity
- Starting at CHF 10.00; children born in 2013 or later pay 50%; children born in 2021 or later enter for free (but still need a ticket)
IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING VISIBILITY AND ACCESS
A Zone 1 ticket does not grant access to the finish area on the main grandstand side. On this side, the regatta course is not visible for the final 200 meters. To view the finish area, follow the path across the temporary bridge behind the finish line to access the Sedel grandstand.
Zone 2
This category offers the best view of the finish line, the big screen, and the action in the finish area. The covered seats in the main or side stands are numbered.

Ticket contingent for Swiss Rowing Clubs
A contingent of tickets will be reserved for Swiss rowing clubs in Zone 2 of the finish line grandstand. Information and ticket distribution will be handled directly by the rowing clubs in the fall of 2026.
FAQ
Yes. During the World Rowing Championships, the lakeside path from the boat storage area to the finish area is not open to the public. A ticket is required for this section.
Zone 1 includes the starting area at the Rotsee-Badi, the lakeside path starting at the boat storage area, the fan zone near the boat storage area, the finish line bridge, and the covered grandstand opposite the Sedel. Accredited areas are excluded.
Zone 1 is the more affordable category, offering free seat selection in the opposite grandstand near Sedel. Zone 2 offers numbered seats in the main or side grandstands in the finish area, with a view of the finish line and the big screen. The main grandstand is located directly in front of the winners’ podium.
No. A Zone 1 ticket does not grant access to the finish area on the main grandstand side. Zone 2 tickets, on the other hand, include access to Zone 1.
In Zone 1, seating is first-come, first-served. Seats in the main and side stands in Zone 2 are numbered.
Yes. Even children who are admitted free of charge need their own ticket. Children born between 2013 and 2020 pay 50 percent; children born in 2021 or later are admitted free of charge.
Wheelchair-accessible seats are located in Zone 2 of the main grandstand. A companion accompanying a wheelchair user receives a free ticket. Barrier-free access to Rotsee can be provided by vehicle. Please contact us for further information or assistance.
Yes. All tickets include 2nd-class public transportation in Zone 10. This applies on the ticket’s valid date.
The exact race and gate opening times will be posted on lucerne2027.com prior to the event. Changes due to weather conditions are possible at any time.
Yes, there are both weekly and final day passes. Tickets must be scanned every day.
