Sustainability

The 2027 World Rowing Championships in Lucerne are based on the existing sustainability principles of the LUCERNE REGATTA. Building on the many years of experience of the international regattas on Rotsee an independent sustainability concept is currently being developed for the World Championships.

The aim is to implement the event responsibly and in harmony with the environment, society and regional value creation. Further information on the LUCERNE REGATTA’s commitment to sustainability and the existing sustainability concept can be found here.

WE ARE SWISSTAINABLE
We are part of the Swisstainable sustainability program and are classified as Level I – committed – leading. The Swisstainable sustainability programme brings together businesses and organizations throughout the Swiss tourism sector. With our participation, we commit ourselves to continuous sustainable corporate development, pursue measures in the area of sustainability and thus make a concrete contribution to sustainable Swiss tourism.
